Gratitude for girlfriends and art in my home

Who’s feeling tired of social distancing?!

I’m used to spending a ton of time alone in my studio and home, but lately, I’m craving a girls’ night out more than I thought possible. I’ve had a couple zoom meet-ups of course, but it’s not the same.

I’m dreaming of sitting on a restaurant patio, sipping a delicious cocktail with good friends and the feeling of sun on my face with a cool breeze off the Puget Sound. I'm hopeful this coming summer will be full of that!

art at home, wall art by misc artists and copper enamel vessel sculpture by Catherine Grisez titled Bound

In the meantime, I’m glad I have visual reminders of the amazing ladies in my life, some of whom are fellow artists. I love looking at the work I’ve collected over the years.

Art keeps us connected and sane when spending more time at home than usual.

CG copper and enamel vessel sculpture titled Bound plus wall art by miscellaneous artistsI have two walls that hold the bulk of my artwork. I'll get to the other bigger one soon, but until then...

This wall features work by 4 super talented women I'm lucky to call friends.

What art keeps you happy when stuck at home?
