In celebration of Women’s History Month, we’re featuring 6 amazing women each week. These women are trailblazers, activists, adventurers, advocates for love, defenders of the environment and nature, and warriors for equal rights. While we’ve split them up into 5 different categories, they blur the lines and cross boundaries in their accomplishments.
This is in no way an exhaustive list as we could list thousands. But a mere dusting of the surface in appreciation of the many women throughout history and current day who have made a difference in our world.
Image (clockwise from top left):
Rosa Parks - Civil rights activist and kick ass example of standing up for yourself and fellow humans
Stacy Abrams - voting rights activist who turned an election loss into an opportunity to create systemic change
Margaret Sanger - birth control, give women more control over our bodies
Betty Friedan - co-founder of National Organization for Women
Madeleine Albright - 1st female secretary of state and advocate for human rights + supporter of jewelry artists with an amazing brooch collection
Guerrilla Girls - feminist activist artist collective that raises awareness about inequality in the art world.
