Hand formed copper using traditional holloware techniques including raising, chasing, and plannishing. Light colored portions are carved wax electroformed with copper and then sandblasted.
Pieces in this series, The Skin Within, treat metal as a kind of skin and explore notions of how experiences feel from within. These objects attempt to capture the beauty or tension of the underlying sensation.
